The government introduced a new curriculum for all primary schools in the country, in school year 2014-15. The teachers at Bathampton have worked hard to adapt the 2014 curriculum to our school and to our approach to learning.
The following documents show how we intend to provide a rich and engaging curriculum across a range of subjects. As we work with the new curriculum over time, we will adapt and improve our plans, ensuring that all children have an enjoyable and challenging learning adventure during their time at Bathampton.
Please note that the curriculum followed in Reception is shown separately, as it is the Early Years Foundation Stage. At Bathampton, we also have both infants (Years 1-2, known as Key Stage 1) and juniors (Years 3-6, known as Key Stage 2). You will see here “Overview” documents that show what each year group will learn, and for core subjects there are “Progression” documents, which show what children are expected to achieve at the different stages in their school career.
