Most of us use the canal bridge and know just how dangerous it is for pedestrians, especially for children who aren’t visible to cars.
We heard locally that people don’t feel they have the time to commit for a full week as a crossing patrol and sometimes take holidays in term time. So we have responded by making the part-time if needed. If you occasionally take a holiday, please still step forward – we would rather have you for the weeks you are here.
Duty times are 8:20 – 9:00am and 3:05- 3:35pm term time only (5 hours 50 mins per week). Pay £8.21 per hour with paid holiday too. Mornings are busiest, so the most urgent to fill.
If you, or someone you know, has even one morning or afternoon to offer then we would love to hear from them.
